2017  85TH SESSION OF TEXAS LEGISLATIVE ANIMAL RELATED BILLS THAT HAVE CURRENTLY BEEN FILED:                    

                                HOUSE BILLS    

     HB 162 - Relating to Conditions of community  supervison for defendants convicted of certain        criminal  offenses involving animals.   

     HB 233 - Relating to the exception of certain  information related to the humane disposition by      a  municipality or county of an animal from required  disclosure under public information law.                                                                       

HB 401 - Relating to civil or criminal liability for leaving certain animals unattended in or removing certain individuals or animals from a motor vehicle. (Dogs in Hot Cars)

HB 478 -  Relating to civil liability for removing certain individuals or animals from a motor vehicle. (Dogs in Hot Cars)

HB 748 -   Relating to certain costs associated with certain court proceedings for cruelly treated animals; authorizing fees and costs. (Seizure Bill) 

HB 749 - Relating to a central database containing information about certain persons who have been convicted of or received a grant of deferred adjudication community supervision for certain offenses involving animal cruelty; creating a criminal offense. (Animal Cruelty Database

HB 904 - Relating to the classification of exotic and nongame animas.

HB 996 -  Relating to the regulation of business entities that provide assistance animals; providing a civil penalty.

HB 1087 - Relating to the creation of the offense of beastiality.

HB 1107 - Relating to county regulation of roadside vendors and solicitors.

HB 1156 - Relating to the unlawful restraint of a dog; creating an offense (Teathering bill)

HB 2390 - Relating to the medical treatment and care of animals by certain persons in animal shelters and releasing agencies.

SB 69 - Relating to civil or criminal liability for leaving certain animals unattended in or removing certain individuals or animals from a motor vehicle.
